Also, John Chambers publicly said the two are not a good fit culturally and they just couldn't work out an arrangement (then LU sued them, so its even worse now). By the way, I don't see a lot of overlap in CSCO + ASND. CSCO very strong enterprise, ASND very strong WAN. Its a bizarre scenario but interesting at the same time. A pure data networking powerhouse.
