Since no one (even Tero) has cited any recent or prospective case where an analog(e) system is being overlayed with GSM (outside of Europe where CDMA is impossible), does this mean that there or none or the question is BORING? As an extension of this, Nortel has successfully overlayed digital TDMA with CDMA as I understand it (Detroit is an example if I remember correctly), Again note that Nortel does both GSM and CDMA around the world. Why was CDMA chosen for the upgrade overlay? Hmmmmm? Does anyone know of any use anywhere in the world of the system the Q and Vodaphone developed for a CDMA overlay upgrade to GSM? As far as I can tell there have been none so far. Question (to Gregg for example), why? Chaz PS. To me these upgrades to CDMA (and zero for GSM) are clear straws the wind that CDMA is the wireless technology of the future, no?
