Many of us share your frustrations, but the delay is the encoding by broadcasters.
Why should V-Gis be rushed, if it won't work as it's supposed to? There may or may not be some packaging problem, but that's not the issue. When consumers start asking for decoders, and the demand is obvious, retailers will be more willing to finally finalize these deals rumoured about. Consumers will only ask once their awareness level increases, but this won't happen until the stations start promoting the ratings system, and the V-Gis marketing campaign is in full swing. But of course, the broadcasters won't promote anything until they're good & ready to encode. (I don't think anyone is paying them for the airtime used to promote ratings, so why would they not wait until the last possible minute? They all hate the whole v-chip thing anyway!)

Now all that TVL can do is wait for full encoding, and make sure they are ready to deliver the second Ingram issues them the PO.

In anticipation of the sales potential, they are building a stronger management team, with seasoned professionals, of which most of us don't care about since the news didn't push up the price. Well, IMO the new appointments are positive signs of a company bracing itself for an influx of sales and growth in their near future.
Either these big-wigs all fell for a scam, or they actually see potential in TVL over the long term.

Regards,

nabeel

Before this is all over, somebody is going to sell something.
If they don't, everyone loses, even ACRI. With only two manufactures
on the market, what are their chances of success? Being the free
thinking radical that I am, I say GOOD! For both of them. I can only
invest in one though. If ACRI comes up with something real, in the way of licencing, I'll invest in them too. It's a huge market, with
at this time, only a few small players. When the market gets too crowded and growth becomes negatively effected, I'll sell. Until
then, I'm not worried, the fundamentals get sounder every day.
That's why 100% of the people on these two threads are watching these
two listed companies. Am I wrong?

Vas - I have been on SI for over 18 months. I have participated on other boards as well. Often I have found that there are several things that happen: 1) some investors take out their loses on others; 2) some folks think they are big league brokers and love to hear others hurt during market down turns. There are a number of things I would like to note:

1. Tri-Vision is a legitimate company. They have an address, they have a lengthy history far beyond V-gis, and and they are not a bunch of SMUCKS. Others on this thread have belittled the company with a venom of their own ignorance.

2. The commitment to manufacture decoders as stated in one of their press releases is almost complete. Instead of being shipped to Ingram, they will be shipped to directly to retailers. The story of the "box" to the best of my knowledge is simply that, a box of "air." It is amazing how rumour start and how they are perpetuated. Check them out for yourself. There is a company phone number, a company net site, and IR numbers. You can also call the distributor.

3. The issue of the patent is this. It apparently has never been challenged to this moment. You should also know that Collings has received an intent and purpose for the patent. It would appear that the patent will stand even if it is challenged as patent lawyers have done a study for Tir-Vision dating back to 1997.

4. There is no question that LB is dumping shares on the market. It is possible that bids are matched to sales and this has contributed to bringing the price down. Obviously LB is not game to sell at a loss for their client either. Take it from there.

5. Page has not responded to the challenge brought to him some months ago by IR for Tri-Vision. I spoke to them about him and apparently the telephone conference was never arranged.

6. Others have been negative because they have taken large losses in the market. Whether these are with TVL or other equities, only they can tell you that one. However, when a little leaven enters the dough it affects the whole batch.

As others have said, do your own DD which means you can check out the company, visit the company, interact with other investors who provide credible information from their findings without dumping, and come to your own conclusions.

I do not post much on the threads. However, I am would say I am amazed at the childishness of many posters only IF I never worked with people. But I do work with people and I know people very well. There have been few surprizes on this thread as well as others.

I closing, you will win some and you will lose some. The key is to have more wins than losses. Many on this thread would never make good coaches. They only want to win, now win-win, nor do they know that you cannot win all the time. TVL has give opportunity for you to be a winner as an investor. It has also given you the chance to appear like a looser. One becomes a looser when he sells at a loss and has failed to wait "just long enough." How long you wait is entirely up to each individual.

I have stated my peace. I would prefer everyone to simply read and consider what was said. I know --NOW-- that not everyone will agree. That is not the purpose of the board, nor is it to put down investors intelligence either. All I have stated is what I have done in the past and what I knew upto the time of the writing of this item.

Thank you all for your patience and consideration.

Good investing and may we all see positive overall growth in our portfolios.

Ben
