Hey Dumbmoney (interesting nick),

First of all, it is forever delayed, but this is only good news for all of MSFT's competitors. Remember that it should have been out early this year.

I never said that NT5 will NEVER come out. I'm very certain that it will come out in mid to late '99.

I also never said that NT5 will NEVER work. I said that the first year for NT5 will be very rocky because of numerous bugs that will show up and because NT5 is being released only six months before Jan 2000. That may not mean much to you (an out-of-industry investor) but that means a hell of a lot to the IT shops around the world that have higher priorities than upgrading to NT5.

NT5 will eventually sell but not until mid 2000. If MSFT were smart they should take the hit in the press and move the release date of NT5 to after Jan 2000. This gives them much more time to clean up the code and and the features that they currently are considering leaving out in the initial release. The interest until Jan 2000 will be minimal anyways.

So please dumbmoney, read my posts more carefully next time.
