LoD,

Time might be right here, the MMs might try the manipulation bit again, and it might work as it has in the past, but I think that stockholders may have seen this in the past and not 'bite', hence if the MMs are not careful, the profits that they are 'trying' to generate will just transfer from one MM to another! Sooner or later, the MMs are going to figure that move is NOT SO GOOD AGAINST DELL!

Let 'em lose some of their 'clients' money a couple of times!

One of these time when the MMs sell the stock for the push, the Buy and Holders are going to just buy it up, then the MMs will have to buy their positions back at substantially higher prices! (After all, they 'really' want DELL in their portfolios!)

Regards,

Ken

Looking at the Short Interest table for DELL below and its 6 month price chart, it appears that the 33,378,238 shares short were sold at a price of $97 or less. I wonder how many of that 33 million share that was short as of June (15th, I think) have covered. At the present price $112, they are at least $15 ($112 - $97 = $15) in the red.
