Harry,

I actually own a DELL at home and purchased a DELL when I began my job here is January of this year. I like DELL a lot.

Would I buy a Compaq PC direct from Compaq? I have no aversion to NOT buying one from their web site but have never done it.

I order my servers through a reseller. Compaq won't sell servers through their site because it would destroy their whole marketing plan with resellers and VAR's.

As for workstations my parent company has a 3 year deal with Compucom to buy IBM's. Being a "lowly" subsidiary of a subsidiary I have no choice but to follow the leader sometimes. I choose my own servers though.
