Thomas,

From one Canuck to another <g>

<They still hold a major share of the ATM backbone market.>
At best, the ATM market is split between three players. NN may be the leader in one analysis, then ASND is on top, next qtr. it's CSCO. Don't buy NN's dominance.

< believe that they get passed over because they lack a significant presence in the enterprise network market and because they are based in Canada.>
Ever hear of Nortel ? Canadian based, little enterprise base, $ 30 billion market cap ? How do you explain ASND's success given their lack of enterprise clients ?

<Investing is not the NFL. There can be more than 1 winner in the same game.>
True. CSCO, LU, NT, ASND are all winners. However, there are plenty of losers. BAY,CS,COMS to name a few.

Might I make a suggestion as to why NN is ignored on this thread and in the market ? They haven't performed. Much promise about upcoming contracts and wins, yet their sales are decreasing and the competition is getting tougher. Much tougher. NN's only hope of survival is if they get bought.

All IMHO, of course,

Cheers,

Peppe
