Flashcom Announces Availability of Nationwide DSL
Reseller Program; High Speed Digital Subscriber Line
Reseller Program for InternetService Providers Is First of Its
Kind

July 17, 1998

WESTMINSTER, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE) via
NewsEdge Corporation -- Flashcom, a National Digital
Solutions Provider, Thursday announced that it has
developed a Reseller program to enable other Internet
Service Providers the option of providing Digital
Subscriber Line or DSL service to their customers.

DSL is a new, high speed, dedicated connection
technology that allows access to the Internet or
company intranets at speeds of up to 1.5Mbps or 50
times as fast as current 28.8Kbps modems. It offers users
the ability to simultaneously talk, fax and surf the
Internet at the same time on a single phone line. Another
advantage of DSL is that it can be used by a single user
or support an entire Local Area Network (LAN) through
one connection. DSL is perfect for applications that
require high bandwidth connections such as Web
hosting, Video Conferencing, Virtual Private Networks
(VPN) or Video on Demand services.

Flashcom's new Reseller program provides a "pay as you
go" solution for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) who
would like to add DSL to their list of services.
Previously, adding the equipment to handle this new
broadband service was only affordable to the larger
Service Providers. Flashcom now offers all ISPs the
opportunity to add revenues from this exciting new
technology without any capital expenditure.

Flashcom maintains a digital Network that was designed
exclusively for DSL and is scaleable to millions of
subscribers. The company has connections with multiple
DSL carriers in all regions and can provide service to the
largest possible customer base in any area.

"Currently we are providing service to numerous
customers in Southern California," said Brad Sachs,
president of Flashcom. "Our Nationwide deployment of
DSL service is underway with facilities in the Bay Area
and Boston opening within two weeks. In the next few
months we will also be expanding service into the New
York, Chicago and Washington, D.C., markets. Being
focused exclusively on DSL technologies, Flashcom is
well positioned to support our customers and Resellers
as experts in the DSL arena. This new program will allow
all ISPs the opportunity to compete with the big guys."

Flashcom will route information or IP from the customer
location through the local Phone Company Central
Office into its network and then redirect it toward the
proper ISP. Flashcom offers connections to its network
in one of three ways: through the Internet backbone; via
a DSL/Frame/ATM connection, or a direct circuit via a
Fast Ethernet cable.
