The street has pitted SUNW against MSFT. And, I believe, that is why SUNW does not get the respect is deserves. So SUNW's stock price languishes. Yes, unix is respected because it works. We have it on our home machine. I do not know how to use it. Housemate only uses it when he does not have to correspond with anyone else cuz they probably do not have it. There will always, always, be a demand for the high-end product. Most professionals use UNIX. Jini will be a tremendous revolution in technology. Revolutions take time to run their course, however. At the moment, Jini sounds like a good idea, an excellent idea!!! Has SUNW demonstrated Jini? We did not have time to look at their web site last night. We actually have the book, "Mirror Worlds". I asked housemate if he thought I could understand it. He thought that I probably could. I am not so sure though.
