Mark, My views and beliefs are based off of God's words. Yes, I make mistakes I'm sure along the way, but not on God's salvation message! You see, my opinion is, that you should base your beliefs off of God's words not your own. I choose this approach because of common sense. If I am trying to please you, I need to know you, your likes and dislikes, you beliefs and your opinions on all issues. That determines how, and what I will do in order to please you. So you see, I have to study you and know you to know how to please you. Now, in God's case, he is perfect! So you would need to be perfect in order to please a perfect person with perfect rules. We can't be perfect by your own admission. So we need grace, hence Christ! It's his rules we have to live by, not our own! I have posted the Four Spiritual Laws on this thread before, have you read them? If not, I will repost them. I think these are a good guide for you to understand God's salvation plan more clearly.
