BIG BLUE'S LOW PRICES SNAG UNC-CH CONTRACT

IBM beat out Compaq, Dell and Gateway for the contract which could top $16 million aver 4 years....

Prices for the models are:$1795 for a mid-range laptop, $2495 for an upper-range laptop, $1495 for a mid-range desktop, and $2095 for a high-end desktop....

Carolina students will not be required to buy IBM's, but they will be required to have Intel-based laptops.
