<<I find it hard to believe that these people that are fighting all
the time in Northern Ireland are really Christians. I believe this is one of the reasons
non-Christians believe that Christians are full of it and hypocrites. I believe that the
people in Northern Ireland most likely maintain the intellectual belief in Jesus. Contrary
to popular belief (especially in large denominations like these two), intellectual belief
doesn't make you a Christian. I see it as if you really BELIEVE in Jesus, why wouldn't
you follow His guidance from the Bible to a tee (or the best you could). There are many
bible verses to back me up like James 2:14-19. I'll post it if you like.>.

Grant, the people in Northern Ireland certainly believe that they are Christians, and commit murders and other brutalities as part of their religious campaigns. In fact, on both sides, Protestant ministers and Catholic priests are involved in the conflict, and provide spiritual guidance and blessings.

I notice that whenever I point out huge groups of Christians who do not seem to be acting in "Christian" ways, someone points out that these must be intellectual, i.e., not real, Christians. I think that is a convenient but not very realistic thing to say. Who is one group to decide another group is not Christian? As well, the "born again" Christians are the most judgmental and disapproving of other groups of people they consider outside of the flock, like homosexuals. So not very much of it makes sense to me.
