Earnings Question

If anyone can provide insight into the following questions, I would appreciate it tremendously:

Earnings
Can anyone give an estimate as to what you believe this quarters earnings will be? Since Q did not pre-announce, I would guess it will be better than the $.27 per share. I am guessing it will be toward the high end of $.35 per share.

Stock Split
If earnings are very good and the stock price rises to high $60's is there a good chance for a stock split? Since Q was planning on splitting before the Korean crisis, is it possible they will authorize a stock split at this time?

Trouble
Is there anything anyone can think of that could cause a severe drop in the stock before earnings release on the 21st? I am wanting to buy more share this week before earnings are released and I want to consider all the things that could go wrong within the next 3 trading days.

If Qualcomm's earnings are positive and authorize a stock split, this stock can definitely reach $80 soon.

Again, if anyone can provide input, I would be grateful.

Michael

Steve,

To be clear on what it means when you say 4X GSM in terms of capacity - is that the number of callers that can be active in a cell site at any given time? So given a GSM cell site with 1000 simultaneous active users; you could squeeze in at least 4000 CDMA users in the same cell area?

Thanks,
Greg B.
