Unfortunately, if the dollar continues to gain strength vs the yen we will see global deflation. Not just contained in S.E. Asia and Russia. Mr. Rubin has already had something to say about that however.
I used to be in the import-export business. Exchange rates are very powerful determinants of the profit margin. At times to the extent of a company being totally viable or unviable. It's not surprising that boxmakers having a lot of components built in SE asia are basking in the sun....but someone has to buy their products so we don't need a deflationary crunch in the consuming countries. They group of 7 with Rubin leading will keep close tabs. Rest assured.
