All of us understand that and evaluate everyone's recommendations based on our own knowledge of a stock, our opinion of the person posting, and the evidence supplied. What most of us find unacceptable are the hostile, insulting, or taunting postings that are critical of others recommendations. Mistakes and misjudgments are par for the course; we all make them. We don't really want to read the "boy were you stupid" postings. If you want to contribute your recommendations, we would be glad to read and evaluate them as we do everyone else's. Just don't waste bandwidth taunting any of us about our "mistakes" or bad calls. You can write this in stone. I will never complain about your stock choices in this or any other thread. My problem was very specific -- one person who need not remain nameless made various attacks both public and private that I found insulting. It's not really about those you have deemed "us." It's about one arrogant, self-serving, egocentric amateur stock picker who thinks when you enter the Market Gems thread, you are communicating to him via direct line to God. Frankly, you waste just as much bandwidth telling someone what they are "supposed" to say or what they "can" or "cannot" say in a thread as those who are simply complaining about this and that on one of the various threads in the SI universe. My advice is a) press Next, b) stay out of what is a one-on-one. I have never addressed you. I don't know you. It would be best if you and others who are emailing public and private messages just chill and stop trying to be the SI police. Is that an American thing or what? Get over it. The world is a diverse place and people have a right to disagree...in fact said right is a component of your own constitution commonly referred to as "The First Amendment." BTW, you will hardly ever see me make stock recommendations, except when asked. When I'm wrong, I am the first to admit it. Can the same be said for "you know who?" The road to hell is paved with armadillos. Don't be an armadillo.
