Thanks to all the thread ------

You all have amazed my wife with the responses and the answers.

I've known for better than a year that here on SI that we're just one big family. There are fusses and cross words and caring and trying to help and prayers and it's just like an extended family..........

We have purchased a ------
-------- drum roll and the bugle sounds "at the post" now ------
after looking at ,
and
our shopping for an EXTENDED period of time,
my personal shopping tends to be prefunctory at best, ( I go to buy,not to shop)
and I don't depend upon MY opinion,
rather, I base the purchase on the salesman at the various stores to give me the straight story, for they are WELL aware that the potential profit will be FAR FAR outweighed by the future bitching that I will do --- .........( this indeed is a GREAT part of living in a small town).....
btw .... I had bought the GE that just malfunctioned from a "special" at one of the BigStores in Dallas ..........

AND

my short time friend at his own store ( his grandmother taught me Latin 1 and Latin 2 in high school) and I've not really know him but for 30 years and he lives 6 or 7 houses away from us came in 3 rd with a Whirlpool.

my friend at Sears (35 yrs and a gentleman with whom I've been in partnership on multi money making deal which had nothing to do with Sear back before he had a heart attack and went to work there) was in 2nd place with a Kenmore.

two of my younger friends, I was an adult (that's stretching the definition some) at the time of their birth have their own store and won out with a side by side, ice and water in the door, incoming water filtered, Fridigare.

I
( read that had been TOLD)
had decided to own a new "ice box" today, delivered to my house and not having to worry about the bother of clean up and checking out of the 2 "spares" .

We both , Marilyn and I, have appreciated the response from my cyberfriends and it really and truly has impressed her.
I thank all of you, and as I said , this is truly a harbinger of the future.

Just think, there is no judgement made in cyberspace based on the normal obstacles of everyday life --- race or religion or gender or whatever ------ or one eyed or bald or handicapped or anything ---
here I am, a second generation hybrid ( read that full blooded father from a tiny town in Lebanon (born in the USA, however), partial German and French mother with a smidgen of Cheokee, Choctaw, and Dutch thrown in for good measure) , from a rural East Texas base, with an unknown skin color, with an unknown size of both height and girth, and an borrowed Irish surname------- and we can all be friends ......

this is what the world will come to and thank heavens for it ........

BTW ----- the town of Paris is evidently too small for an inventory of KitchenAide side by sides to be perused by the head of the household ........ ggggggg

but she WAS impressed still, by the responses and the messages

Regards ---- Nemer
