<< Was Nabisco that much of a surprise to the market (check out the tape, up 15% at the open and then right back down)? How large will this new deal be to the bottom line?>>

Both announcements are pretty big and, I think, both will be well received, in the long run....Of course Ranir corp is a fantastic deal....Between them and Breath assure....this will result in significant revenue for GUMM....how much...time will tell. I know BA is planning a marketing budget of $15M....Would guess that Ranir is bigger because they apparently have more than one product....

The Nabisco deal is disappointing to Kehoe because he has had a long term relationship w/ them....Hard to quantify that....but the deal they had worked out was probably too stifling to Gumm and now that they have significant brand label demand and have done significant marketing analysis (at Nabisco's expense) they are in a far better position to negotiate with other companies....who will likely make a better fit and be in a better position to market the products...
