The previous post was an example of a play based on the retracement of a stock. The strategy would be different for one playing a system based on lets say 5 and 9 day EMAs for strongly trending momentum stocks.

I am not recommending the use of 5 and 9 day EMAs to play momentum stocks. I am just using it as an example of one possible approach. I have seen this type of approach used by other traders with apparent success. But still this approach would need to be filled in with other supporting indicators for the direction and strength of the trend with well-defined entry and exit strategies in place. Such a system would have to be proven by thorough backtesting and by using the system in actual trades.

Boy, when I am in a hurry to get out the door and I get caught up in my postings here, my posts can come out fragmented as I remember points that I made which need clarification. ;)
