MSFT management is known to be conservative by "managing" their earnings, either allocating a portion to future R&D or talking it down. The number is about expected but Windows 98 sales seems encouraging, which should boost future earnings and pave the way for NT5. Also, their international growth, especially, in Europe is impressive, with Asia showing a small growth. Now if we can just get
those Reno's rottweilers off Bill's back..

The press release sure sounded upbeat...no cautionary statements like in previous press releases...just the cold, hard facts!
