yOU MISS THE WHOLE POINT OF BUY AND HOLD TOY. MANY OF THESE GUYS HAVE SOFTEE AT 50 AND LESS....WHY SELL? yOU THINK LIKE A PENNY INVESTOR. BUY, SELL, BUY, SELL, BUY, SELL AND MISS THE LARGE RUNS THAT A STOCK LIKE MSFT, LU, DELL, INTC CAN PROVIDE FOR THE INVESTOR. WE CAN'T CALL THE MARKET FROM DAY TO DAY SO WHY TRY. INVEST FOR THE LONG TERM AND SLEEP EASY AT NIGHT.

Toy Soldier,

Your statement is rather interesting: "MSFT is classified as a "Cult
Stock" and therefore the movement and dynamics of the stock is much harder to predict. "

Who of import classifies MSFT as a cult stock?
Given MSFT beta and what I have observed over several years, I feel that it is in fact easier to predict MSFT's movements than the average stock.

Re: Ohh well, like I said, I predict the stock will drop tomorrow.

More wisdom from the peanut gallery. My adjusted cost bas is in fact US$0.45 (or CAD$0.70); Should I sell now and send the Canadian Government US$62.00 per share or should I wait to send them CAD$100.00 per share or should I wait until you are in a line-up and want cancer treatment from a bankrupt government? When should I buy it back with my ever diminishing almighty Liberal CAD$?

I need some serious advice from boy genius, know it all oracle, boy wonder.

Bill

ToySoldier,

I figured that it's about time you reappear on the MSFT board since it's time MSFT reports earnings. I totally disagree with you that MSFT is a speculative stock. Nothing is really speculative about MSFT. We all know that Softie can report any number he wants to. Heck, he can cut MSFT's P/E by 50% simply by reporting blow out numbers. Yet in most cases, MSFT chose to report conservative numbers to put the stock price on hold...

What the street will do? Well, they will also make sure that the stock trade sidelines before it makes another traditional rally. So the traders will dump the issue, smart investors will write deep in the money covered calls for the next month, and short sellers will get their normal nutrition. A 5-8 point gain, as compared with a 33 point rally.

I really feel sympathetic about MSFT short sellers. There are much brighter and high rewarding issues to short. MSFT is the only tech issue that's basically immune to any major attacks. Even the DOJ find it tough to screw Mr. Softie. Not even Reno shorting 1 million shares of MSFT can help.:)
