He wouldn't be able to show his leadership under Palmer. The woes of Digital is long and deep and can't be blamed on any one person. Basically they were very poor in their services and support and charged too much. People just turned in droup to Sun Mirco for cheaper and better workstations.

Hopfully Clafin is of the calibre of Dave House now he has the freedom to lead. Eric can just play around with the Palm division and be happy.

Since I haven't read much about any great results of his work (though you mentioned his Brick successful campaign, etc. but did it in the end sell more digital products?), I will take your word and your personal observation for it for now.
