well....I spent 9 years in West Texas....that's the Midland/Odessa area and even the Panhandle...and to us.... FtWorth/Dallas is East (lived in Dallas and really liked it...more "modern" than west Texas, and not as many rifles prominately displayed on the rack in the pickup truck)...any way his name is Dan Blocker.....the town slips my mind now but I remember the town was no more than 6,234 population and it had ONE strip shopping center, railroad tracks and a cop who always monitors the traffic going through ...he got me twice...and a big billboard really does proudly display the fact that it's the proud home of ....
