As for 1 out of 10 being unsatisfied-- this is not a major upgrade, and it is an upgrade to an operating system. If your OS is screwy, all your programs suffer. And when it comes to a very optional upgrade to your OS, 1 out of 10 negative reviews may be enough to kill sales of the upgrade. On the other hand, a specialized program which you need may be worth the pain.

Boy! You sure are searching for something to put a negative spin on, aren't you? I don't think MSFT would be stupid enough to brag in a press release about something that's a negative.

I believe that if we could ask that 1 out of 10 why they were unsatisfied, a large number of them would say that they were disappointed that W98 was so much like W95. If so, that is not all bad, because large corporate/gov't sales will accelerate as their IT folks see that upgrading their client PCs to W98 will stabilize their computing infrastructure and reduce support costs. (Pardon me for repeating, but this seemed relevant to this thread.)
