Andrew,

A couple of questions concerning 300mm and the possible pushout. First, you said:The announcement, if and when it comes (I believe it is forth coming) . Is this a hunch of yours or have you been talking to indutry insiders who corroborate your view? Because of the SEA situation, many firms are reluctant to spend $$ and rightfully so. However, it should be noted that this sector tends to act like a wild penulum, swinging one way and looking like it is about to fly up and over, before swinging back the other. Could all of the 300mm hoopla be just that, frustration by chipmakers that the tools aren't ready, anger by some in the equipment sector that they have spent billions only to see their investment returns deferred? Timelines are too often changed in this sector(both ways) for me to now believe we are in the midst of a pushout of 5 years.

And if 300mm is pushed out as far as is currently being talked about, why not consider moving to 400mm(see attached link) instead of 300mm since some cos already have those plans in the works and as of last year, that was the approximate timeframe for deployment(mayber a year or 2 earlier).
