Jack:

The prides did not drop "more" in % terms than the common. The prides move at about 74% the rate of common. I sold all my common Tuesday and will right the HUGE losses off other short-term cap-gains this year to reduce my loss by 39.6%. I then bought more prides - now 12k shares. These shares will pay me $45k per year until Feb 2001 when they convert to common. If you think CD can pulls itself out of the muck in 2 1/2 years you will receive 10 to 13% annually (depending on your cost basis) while you wait and 74% of the stock appreciation as well.

Ben

do yourself a favor and buy more of this preferred or their cd pr i. they are both convertible and pay a tremendous amount of yield for an excellent rating. in the long run 18-24 mths the conv. will be higher than your original purchase and you will have a sign. cap. gain and earned an unbelievalble return for your patience.
