Oy.....Dr.Drees does indeed have a research background in fluosol and pher02 spanning many years..... he was an integral part of the fluosol research team at Alpha Therapeutics(was the company president) and left there in 1989 to start work on pher02. I have not seen his book so I cannot comment on its impact within the scientific community.....this is NOT a hobby for him....

he started with business analyst.. got involved with a division of Alpha under Eli Lilly... the man has now spent decades working in the medical research market with blood substitutes.. he may not have started out with the intent of becoming one of, if not THE, foremost experts on blood substitute technology.. but after years and years of working with it... he has earned the rank. Yes, Dr. Drees has written a book on the subject..I believe GWOLF has checked it out at the library and was reading it.. jim
