DOW JONES HAVE BEEN A VERY RELIABLE SOURCE...THEY INTERVIEWED KEY PLAYERS IN THE INDUSTRY WHO SEEM TO THINK THIS IS A DONE DEAL AT $45 OR BETTER. IT MAY JUST BE A FEW DAYS BEFORE INK IS PUT TO PAPER. IF I WERE SHORT, AND I'M NOT, I WOULD TAKE COVER!

I'm wondering why MSFT, AOL, and YHOO waited until now to consider buying this company. I understand their patents are very valuable and a must especially to AOL. One only needs to experience a cable modem once to understand the benefits. Any thoughts?

STRONG SELL Rec SRCM - Buyer Beware - 20 million of insider sales?

<<<1) The insider shares sold in May were by an early investor of SRCM that bought into the company under $1 per share and wanted(needed) to diversify holdings. Supposedly, a major position in SRCM is still held by this venture capital group.>>>

Glad you brought this up - and spammed it on about 10 SRCM boards. Lets clear up your misunderstanding. Here's the bottom line -- OVER 20 Million Dollars of stock sales can be attributed directly to the officers of SRCM. 27 of the 28 sales listed that date can be tied to insiders... How about that?

Looks like they had lots of faith in the technology and this company being bought out!

Here's the rundown of the May 19-20 sales of stock. As you can see from this taken from the Company's K, Mike Marocco is a director - AND "Managing Director of Sandler Capital Management" Surprise surprise -- who was selling as part of the 28 listed sales on May 19-20? A few of the Sandlers....

Michael J. Marocco, age 39, has served as a director of the Company
since May 1996. Mr. Marocco is a Managing Director of Sandler Capital Management ("Sandler") and has been associated with Sandler since April 1989.

19-May-98 Sold (S) 44,500 (I) COM 16.07 $715,114

Lets look at Barry Rubenstein from the last K....

Barry Rubenstein, age 54, has served as a director of the Company since September 1997. In 1994, Mr. Rubenstein co-founded the 21st Century partnerships, of which he is presently a principal.

Notice he "co-founded the 21st Century partnerships, of which he is presently a principal". Gee Whiz, now look at all them shares Barry and 21st Century partnerships sold during this period!

19-May-98 Sold (S) 10,265 COM 16.07 $164,958

After you tally the whole lot up, out of the 28 listed transactions, 27 can be directly tied to one of these directors - via Marocco's relationship with Sandler, or Barry Rubenstein and 21Century Partnerships.

Now step back and add that up... OVER 20 Million Dollars of sales attributed directly to the officers of SRCM. Looks like they had lots of faith in the technology and this company being bought out!
