There's a phrase for that&#151interim-CEO. It seems to work for Steve Jobs. As long you're the interim-CEO and not officially titled, you have more control. So what if the BOD doesn't like a decision? Who's going to replace you&#151an interim-interim-CEO? IndefiniteInterim&#153 is a great strategy; the quintessential executive power play. Keep up the good work. <gg>
