Stock bull,

Actually I did short DELL at 98 3/8 before they release the earning results for last quarter. Covered at 83 1/8. Shorted only 500 shares . And this is the only short trade I made this year. I don't think that I will short the issue this time unless 1) the issue climb above 140 before earning announcement; 2) they beat first call by a mere 1-2 cents and don't announce a stock split. I am usually pretty bad at timing a short. If I feel a market correction is coming, I will buy puts instead of going naked shorts.

BTW, I don't see DELL beating first call by more than 2 cents. MSFt will probably be hit by profit taking in the next several sessions and trade sideline between 108-118 for 6 weeks before making another move.
