Papken to be on CNBC Squawkbox Friday morning. They didn't list a time, but I'd guess around 6:15 AM, PST, which was when Art Z. of UTEK was on earlier today (they announced that Papken would be on tomorrow at the end of the UTEK piece).

With the 711 employee lay off announced today, I don't guess that SVG expects big orders from either UMC or Intel any time soon. Intel did announce that it was pulling its .18 micron shift into the first half of 1999. I guess that means they need to place orders for step and scans sometime within the next 6-9 months (if you believe SVG's claim that cycle times will be down to 3 months by the end of the year <g>). Then, I guess, we'll know if SVG belongs in the doghouse or if it will make money for us again.
