There goes AMD's "at least $100 ASP"
Intel to cut Celeron/300 below $100 LIST

So Jimmy, what will happen when AMD loses more than 20c in Q3. Will they be in default and will the creditors auction off AMD ?

Stockman:

Did you see those chess benchmark on chess John P. posted? K6-2 is impressive. Good enough to challenge a grandmaster in a tourney. PII-400 just doesn't cut it. Let's face it PII-400 just as not as good as a K6-2-333. Shame on Intel for raping uninformed buyers.

SockMan, re:Celerons<$100

Intel is clearing their inventory of the cacheless chips in August because no one would buy them with the 128K cache version coming out in September. Best thing for AMD to do is NOTHING -- the quantity of these is limited to what will be produced in the next month.

PS - Paul never responded to my questions on Intel ASP, % of non-CPU Intel revenue and # of Intel CPU's sold in the 2nd quarter.
