While these Celeron chips are low-priced (less than $100), they are not low cost chips compared to the competition:

1. Slot 1 circuit board & packaging costs $15 higher than K6-2
2. Die size 131mm vs 80mm. Even if yield 75% vs 55%, still uses more silicon

The FTC may have something to say about Intel using their profits in one monopoly market (servers) to subsidize losses in a new non-monopoly market (sub-$1000 PC's).
