Paul, you don't seem to be worried about it.

I didn't think is was a big deal. After all, the article indicated
the transition may take years and it will be complex, requiring hefty investments for new manufacturing tools.

AMD doesn't have years to wait or money to spend. They need a 333 and 350mhz soon, or the fat lady will start to sing.

Remember a few months ago when I talked to you about Motorola is doing copper in production? Well looks like AMD is going after this technology for Dresden fab. With copper backend interconnect AMD will have the world most advanced process in CPU making. Copper will allow AMD to have a low cost in CPU making. Electromigration is practically nonexistent.
