Clint, any comments re my post 17111 about CGNX?

Manish felt that too much upside could be left in semi equipment manufacturers. CGNX is not overbought but should find it difficult to get over 20. Also recent 12 month price target is only 21 and it is at 19. Earnings out on Tues. More ASIA bad news, Semi bad news, or market top could down spike this again to 15 while it should be unlikely to get much higher, IMO. Not a typical overbought short but maybe a potential disaster story with relatively limited risk. Very interested in varied opinions.

Clint - <<TI & LLTC are left to report & should meet reduced estimates. >>

Actually, according to First Call, the only LLTC estimate revision in the last 60 days was a single analyst's increase in FY98 numbers on 7/10/98.

In the last 90 days, Q4FY98 had 5 increases and 1 decrease, FY98 had 9 increases and 1 decrease, and FY99 had 6 increases and 0 decreases.

Regards, Don

Would you short SEMIs on any rally or is the downside limited
at these levels ?
