Mike, Steve Jobs. <G> Though the term "bought" may be suspect. And you have to dispose of your own Compaq trash. CNBS showed a "computer shredder" on television a couple of days back, and I found that intriguing.

I agree with your sentiment. Apple says that they are 15% of CompUsa's sales. When I visit there, I never see anyone even looking at $2000 Macs when the generic down the next aisle is selling for $599. Though I have no proof, my guess is that this profit has more to do with the writing off of inventory than it does with any comeback.
