Just kidding, James. My gambling luck is worse than my market luck, but I'm game. State the terms.

H,

Two more items that come to mind as an advantage to BKS and BGP over Amazon.con. The customer does the fulfillment for BKS and BGP at no cost to the company. The customer may go to the history department and pick up a book, then to Si-fi and get a book, etc. The customer then takes these books to the check out clerk who runs them trough a scanner and places then in a relatively inexpensive bag.

Also, much of the business at BKS and BGP is a cash sale due to the cosr per purchase being small. All of the sales at AMZN are credit cards which have to cost them a minimum of 2% with processing and discount fees from the bak. Let's take another 2% bite out of the AMZN gross margin. Also, remember AMZN has to do fulfillment and use expensive boxes.
