To All,

I live in suburban Philadelphia and I've heard some rumors about a daytrading office opening up in Center City Philadelphia - the story I heard is that its going to be right across the street from the Philly Stock Exchange. That would be great cause there's a train station right there. I'm very interested in daytrading, but really think that I would be better off in an office type environment rather than trading remote. I know a couple of people who have daytraded up in New York and they say that the synergy that is generated by all the traders in the office is a big plus.

Has any one else heard about a Philly office? As of now I haven't heard anything about the type of software that they're using or who they're affiliated with.

I'll keep digging and if I hear anything I'll pass it along.

You can trade remotely with tradecast through a direct line (analog with 56K modem or isdn line) which solves a lot of the instability problems associated with online trading. I have just recently opened a daytrading office in San Francisco (Landmark Securities at www.landmarksecurities.com) which utilizes both Tradecast as well as Townsand Analytics Real-tick III software. We use the Tradecast product for our executions (very fast and flexible) and Real-Tick for charting and analytical applications. Feel free to e-mail me or call me at 415-391-6848 for more info on remote trading or trading from our office (or I can help see if there is an office closer to you). Please do yourself a favor and research any companies prior to opening an account as there are a lot of "shaky" outfits out there. -steve
