I can't tell you how the future will unfold. I just observe that in the long term charts more and more companies are losing upside long term momentum (price rate of change) and more and more have already started long term downtrends. Some areas like parts of telecommunications will not be effected because they are beneficiaries of a slowdown in discretionary spending. The internet is a cheap form of entertainment. Other areas will continue upward like the money center banks. This is all part of the long forgotten traditional cycle. The lessons of the past have been adequately forgotten so that tradition can return.
