Bellcore Deal!!!

Attention Business Editors:

INFOINTERACTIVE SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH BELLCORE

U.S. firm one of world's largest telecom technology
companies

HALIFAX, July 20 /CNW/ - InfoInterActive Inc. (Alberta
Exch: IIA)
announced today that it has signed an agreement with
Bellcore (Bell
Communications Research, Inc.), of Morristown, NJ., one of
the world's largest
providers of telecommunications software, engineering and
consulting services.
Bellcore will assist InfoInterActive with the continuing
rapid deployment
of Internet Call Manager, the Company's popular ''call
waiting'' telephone
service for Internet users, marketed primarily through major
telephone
companies in North America and worldwide.
Bellcore's major telecommunications customers in North
America include
all of the U.S. Regional Bell Operating Companies (RBOCs)
and many of the
competitive local exchange carriers and long distance
companies. Bellcore also
provides products and services to many other
telecommunications companies
worldwide through its operations in Europe, Central and
South America, Asia
and the Pacific Rim.
As part of this agreement, Bellcore will provide a broad
range of
professional services to accommodate the specific needs of
the increasing
number of large telephone companies wanting to market the
Internet Call
Manager service to their customers. Today's announcement
completes the
agreement announced May 19.
InfoInterActive President & CEO Bill McMullin said
today: ''Bellcore's
established relationships with large telecommunications
companies worldwide
will help support rapid market growth of Internet Call
Manager across North
America and potentially around the world.''
''Bellcore is a highly respected technology company with
the consulting
resources to assist InfoInterActive in providing the
necessary support for the
growing number of telecommunications partners choosing
InfoInterActive for
Internet call-waiting services,'' Mr. McMullin said. ''We
are delighted to
have this world-class organization aligned with
InfoInterActive.''
Mr. Derek Messulam, General Manager of Bellcore's
Advanced Services
practice said, ''Our relationship with InfoInterActive
represents an important
piece of Bellcore's expanding portfolio of Internet-based
service offerings.
We are confident that these technologies will have broad
appeal to
telecommunications companies worldwide.''
The predominantly success-based agreement will not
impact on the number
of shares outstanding in InfoInterActive.
Internet Call Manager (ICM) provides Internet users with
on-screen
notification of incoming telephone calls - including caller
identification -
while the phone line is otherwise tied up using the Net. The
service solves
the common problem of families and small businesses missing
incoming phone
calls during Internet usage, and is a fraction of the cost
of acquiring and
leasing a separate phone line.
ICM for Business allows the small business and
home-office customer,
using the Internet, to monitor and handle incoming calls on
a number of office
lines, including those not related to the customer's
Internet access. The same
service also allows the customer to use regular Internet
access to monitor
incoming office calls from home, a subsidiary workplace, or
while travelling -
or vice-versa.
ICM High-Speed offers all of the same Internet Call
Manager features to
customers with high-speed Internet access through corporate
networks or ADSL.
InfoInterActive successfully launched its Internet Call
Manager in Canada
in 1997 in conjunction with MT&T, and in partnership with
Cincinnati Bell in
the United States in May, 1998. The Company has signed a
Letter of Intent with
one of the largest telephone companies in the United States,
and recently announced a similar agreement with Telus, Canada's
third-largest
telecommunications company. The agreements are similar to
that which led to
the successful roll-out at Cincinnati Bell. IIA expects
further developments
in both the U.S. and Canadian markets in the near future.
InfoInterActive is a provider of network-based enhanced
services that
bring telephone, Internet and wireless networks together. It
is a publicly
traded corporation listed on the Alberta Stock Exchange in
Canada under the
