What i've been talking about is that these guys are part of the
great "anti-gold conspiracy".
Would not be shocked to find out that while some of them talked down gold, they were out there buying it.

>>>am not suggesting he isnt brilliant. I am suggesting that he may be a huge chump. >>>

Gabriela, let me tell you a childhood joke on the subject (variation)

Three people and a pilot are flying small plane. One is the smartest man on earth, second is a priest and third is a boyscout.

Suddenly Pilot comes-out and declares that they are out of gas. He states that they only have three parashutes, he grabs one of them and jumps-out.

The smartest man declares his value for humanity, he grabs another one and he is also gone...

The priest tells boyscout that he is an old man quite content with what he has done and ready to face a creator ant tells boyscout to take the last parashute,....

The boyscout responds--- "Farther that is not necessary the Smartest Man on earth just jumped-out with my back-pack....:)

Did watch Wall Street Week last week?

Louis R. had 3 (prominent?) European analysts on his show. Basically, they all agreed that the Asian crisis would take approx. 2 years to recover, and European markets would outperform U.S. markets. No where did they mention Russia! Is there a conspiracy here? Or is everyone hiding their heads in the sand.

I know Russia has been handed a reprieve with the IMF bailout, but I feel this is only temporary. But then again, if these Russian Tax reforms take hold and the Russian economy stabilizes, then .. maybe the European economy will do well.

I welcome other people's opinions on this year's outlook for Europe and Russia.
