Judge - the challenge for NCR is huge. I have held this stock for some time, and have seen it bounce round the 20-30s under Nyberg. Don't know where the growth is going to come from unless they make the push to an all out services company a la UNISYS. ATMs - great product, but being squeezed at the low end, data warehousing - HA! - everyone and his dog is in on that one, and NCR have lost too many of the really good Teradata people over the last few years. Retail has been as dead as dead for years.

Both on top-line and profitability they are being squeezed. The sales model is still largely direct making their cost of sale huge compared to Compaq, DELL etc. I keep looking for Nyberg to make a move but I don't see it happening.

In a booming market, NCR's sales decline qtr on qtr is alarming. I see a logical break up happening at some stage, where the sum of the parts is worth more than the whole.

Just my 2 cents worth.
