Jason, I checked that URL. 2 things. 1- The $6K system is closer to a real workstation than the other 2 because no one in their right mind would use IDE drives. It is simply stupid. It would be like trying to look for IDE-based RAID 5 arrays. 2- This doesn't include applications that are native OpenGL or native Alpha. Do you think this software is more expensive, YUP it is. Remember, with a workstation you are always going to be dealing with one or two apps that must run native Alpha. Software costs were based in my previous postings but I never mentioned them.
