I understand the difference I just thought I'd put a spin on your Visa analogy. BTW doesn't First Data have 5 billion a year in revenue? I would settle for that regardless of who knew CKFR's name.

SET news, re..SETCO? The Visa / MasterCard - American Express Thing?

www4.zdnet.com

IBM Corp. has faced the fact that Secure Electronic Transaction payment systems are not catching on in North America. Big Blue, which has been one of the staunchest supporters of SET, announced Wednesday that it had signed an agreement with CyberCash Inc. to integrate its Secure Sockets Layer-based payment systems with the next version of the IBM Payment Server.

Yada, Yada, Yada....

Karl Salnoske, IBM's general manager for electronic commerce, said the company still firmly believes SET will become the preferred method of conducting commerce over the Internet. However, it accepts the fact that SET needs time to mature.

Now look back at the last 9 or 10 months....Integrion - Bank Owned, teams up with CKFR for Bill Payment & Presentment....Then Visa USA which is part of Visa International and a member of SETCO teams up with CKFR to new next generation of internet payment system.

So what does this all mean....well from a simple stupid person from Michigan it sure looks like Integrion, IBM, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, SET and SETCO will be based on a CKFR solution. OR at least run with something developed by CKFR for them, because they don't seem to have been too successful putting the pieces together on their own.

But it's still a Rodney Dangerfield Stock....but this too shall pass.

So if you want a Michigan version of this.....

Karl Salnoske, IBM's general manager for electronic commerce, said the company still firmly believes SET will become the preferred method of conducting commerce over the Internet. However, it accepts the fact that SET needs time to mature.

It reads as follows....

said the company still firmly believes SET will become the preferred method of conducting commerce over the Internet...but we're damm tired of waiting....however we feel CKFR needs time to fix it for them so it works and can be deployed.

Now that you know how I read the news, you know why I'm still bullish CKFR....It's everywhere you want to be. That CKFR/Visa deal could be a little bigger if it ended up spilling over into SET/SETCO.
