I also think CSCO will have a run but here's why:

1. Earnings release on 4 Aug 98

2. Expectation of a stock split announcement in conjunction with the announcement.

3. Technically bollinger bands very tight and starting to widen as CSCO tries to break out above $96. This means high implied volatility--looking forward. Large move expected in near future--up or down. Bias for move in the direction of the trend--up of course.

4. Price reached all time high yesterday--showing attempt to run. No overhead supply of stock.

5. Very solid uptrend--plenty of demand in excess of supply for the stock.

Very Short Term hinderances?

1. Options expiration. Natural strike pinning to near $95.

2. A little bit more than 2 weeks till earnings.

I agree. When Cisco makes these kind of moves, along with the tech sector going up we are in for a good rally through the summer months.

Also noted this morning that CS First Boston upgraded Cisco and 3Com to strong buys.

Boy this stock is strong, looks like we will blast through 100 quickly!

Ibexx,

<<There will be a run of CSCO right into the earnings date.>>

Good morning. I'm in this one too. LT and ST.

Where do you think it will run to? I bought some NOV 95 calls some weeks ago and I'm already very happy I did.
