Ugh, Grolsch never liked me. We had a bar in the cellar of the castle on our campus that was run by the students. Talk about letting the fox gaurd the henhouse. Anyway, Grolsch was the only beer they served as is common practice in Holland where bars have a contract with one beer company only (quite a change from Oregon where bars can have 30+ beers on tap). My preference was Duvel (Devil) but it was Belgium. Now sadly I'm allergic to beer. I agree that the Dutch are very civilized but was surprised about the popularity of some of the no-brow humor there.
