oh well; win some lose some...

So much for my against the grain short term trades... This was an obvious short term speculation; I bought the common on a dip after a selloff on no news - out at the open today; took the loss and put the cash back to work.

Could be a possibility long term-wise on buying off this selloff and holding longterm. If Columbia ever gets it's act under control and the bombing of the pipelines by the rebels stops - the valuation of their Columbian fields may dramatically increase. I would NOT want to be holding HEC or SEV right now due to the markets ''devaluation'' of Columbian assets... life goes on...

This will take some time to sort out. The sell-off was most likely over done but Friday developments were a shock. I have Jan '99 options, practically worthless at this time, and if I had the guts, would double up. I'll at least think about it for Monday.
