Finally, back on SI. Loaded a new browser and couldn't get on. Kept getting message to become a member.

You emphasize the handsets. In my own mind, I wonder if the end user business is really the focus of the company's long-term strategy. Somebody had to manufacture handsets that would work with cdmaOne. Somebody had to prove the stuff worked. Qualcomm had to do that. But once it's proven, the other manufacturers can come in. The same is true with the foreign carriers, which Q will now be spinning off. Spinco doesn't seem to have excited the street very much--maybe because the market realized that Qualcomm had to do what it did, get involved at the carrier level to build the business.
