Z.O: NN's involvement in China is a mere 10-15%. Today China accounts for near one quarter of the worlds market for telcom gear. Each year it adds what is equivalent to the entire telephone network of Spain or India. It now has more telephones than any country except the USA. Telcom sales in China amount to +$15b/yr.

There is a small window of opportunity for Foreign firms. In the next 5-7 yrs China will start exporting to the surrounding markets. Huawei Technologies ,Datang and Great Dragon which are local have jointly grabbed nearly 40% of Erricsson, Nokia and NEC's market. These Companies now have products extending into cutting edge technologies such as ATM switching.

NN needs to re-enforce its marketing strategy towards China. Erricson was the first to do so and now gets near $3b from that region. I am not sure what exposure the new COO has had to the Far east. He would do well to expand his contacts in the region and start forging close ties with the Chenzen Blue bloods.

Since you are on the IR's inner list, you may like to ascertain how they view the market in China vis a vis elsewhere.
