Composer Niccolo Castiglioni was born in 1932.

Guitarist Spencer Davis was born in 1942 in Wales.

The No. 1 "Billboard" Pop Hit in 1958 was "Hard Headed Woman," Elvis
Presely. The song was taken from the Presley film King Creole.

Jazz singer Billie Holiday died in 1959. She posthumously received a
Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1987 and three of her recordings
received Grammy Hall of Fame Awards: "Strange Fruit" (1939), "God Bless
the Child" (1941) and "Lover Man" (1945). The 1972 film Lady Sings The
Blues was based on her life.

The full length animated film "Yellow Submarine," with songs by The
Beatles, was released in 1968.

The Moody Blues opened the first quadraphonic studio in 1974 in London.

Musician and Manager Chas (Bryan) Chandler died at the age of 57 in
1996.
