I'd be interested in knowing how the brokers that had clients in this issue handled it today. It can occur that the brokers lose their commission if their clients sell "too soon". In this case, if I were a broker, I would have been on the phone with everyone that had the stock and advised them to sell immediately. Unfortunately, if the "no commission if you sell on day one" rule was in effect, I would have lost the commissions, but I would have some happy clients. What happened in your case?
